UNSOUND Show Print Preview

Here's a preview of four of the eight new limited edition prints that will be on sale next Saturday at UNSOUND in NYC. Seven prints are 11 x 14" and one is a 10 x 8".
I still need to number and sign these but I am almost totally ready for the event.
I hope to see some of you there.
Thank you. -Jonathan

"Insane" Creativity

One of my favorite museums on earth in Baltimore's American Visionary Art Museum. AVAM houses a lot of work by "insane" artists and if you are ever in the area I HIGHLY recommend it.
I wanted to write about my favorite piece in the museum but I don't have the time or resources at the moment. I will come back to it later. Anyhow, please check out the museum's website and visit if you can one day.
Thanks. -Jonathan

Wolf Eyes & AOD pics / J. Canady Art Interview

Here are some photos from the WOLF EYES / ANGEL OF DECAY show 4/7 in Philly:
The Wolf Guys were great to hang out with. Quality people all around. And their set RULED as usual. They just get better and better.
Also, weird art blogmaster Claudio Parentela did an interview with me for his excellent "ELvis IN hawaii" blog. Check it out here:
Thanks. -Jonathan

"The Hunt of the Thrill" opening photos

Friday night's opening reception was a lot of fun. I am still recovering today.
The highlight for me hearing that a random art browser looked at my work and said "very sexually disturbed." Awesome.
The photo above is of the first three paintings you see when you walk to the back of Glam Lounge. The one in the middle, "Case 15, Session 2" is brand new.

This is the back four pieces. The one on the left is the rarely seen original version of "Case 1."
All these pieces are now available for sale except "Case 10" (on right in first photo) and "Composite 2, Session 2" (on right in above photo). Drop me an e-mail if you're interested in prices or more info.

Scott Kinkade's fancy still life with my new postcards.

DJ and show curator A.D. Amorosi.

You might know Rich Hoak as the drummer of BRUTAL TRUTH and TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION. But did you know he is a conceptual artist as well? The above photo is one of his creations. Genius.

Josh from Relapse & Aesthetic Records pondering the mysteries of my work.

THE social event of the season?

The artist and my muse (Suzie).
Thanks very much to everyone who showed up and thanks again to A.D. Amorosi for putting on the exhibition. Also, special thanks to Nicole Kristiana FitzGibbon for helping me hang my work.
Remember, the show is hanging all month long so try to check it out if you're in the area. The Glam Lounge & Gallery address, etc info is in a previous post below.

"Dangerous Meat" Solo Exhibit Online
Photos of my solo art exhibit at The Museum of Porn in Art, Zurich are now online:http://porninart.ch/
A million thanks again to Zoe from MOPIA for her hard work on my show. I can't tell you how helpful she has been. It's good to know there are still decent people in the world willing to help out a deviant like myself.
