The State of My Union

I noticed today that I am losing subscribers and regular visitors to this blog as I am regularly gaining them over at Colors of the Dark. This makes sense as COTD is a way to "entertain and inform" as this blog was back when I posted every day.

My day job is cranking up into busy season so my free time is even more limited than it usually is. That, in addition to the above mentioned facts, means that I will not be posting regularly here. I will only post when there is something worth mentioning going on in my creative life. Sometimes this will be several times a week, sometimes much less. Around the beginning of November I will probably do a little more over here as my job will slow down again.

I promise if I ever get a patron to pay my rent I will post here every single day. Ha ha. No... I'm not holding my breath either.

So, maybe consider subscribing using the Blogger follow thingy or just stop back from time to time. Also, keep in mind I am determined to keep posting at least once a day on Colors of the Dark no matter how busy I get. So far so good (so what).

Feel free to comment. I will be checking and happy to respond as time allows.

history shows it's hard to scream when you're not breathing ... so let the creativity flow ;-)

So true Bauke. So true.

Thanks for my Klaus Schulze surprise BTW.

I read daily, I just don't always feel the need to comment. For some weird reason I haven't looked at Colors of the Dark more than once or twice. I don't use the "follow" thing, but I do subscribe via the RSS feed which for me is easier. I'll start checking out the other blog, but man, keep posting the new art. I really love those posts and I find myself logging onto things like Myspace less and less. Facebook I check all the time, haha...but I'll get sick of that too.

Take care, Jonathan. I'd pay your rent if I could.

Thanks man. I will absolutely keep posting my art and any music stuff as it comes up.

I am just going to skip doing the "filler" posts just for the sake of having something/anything up every other day. I may come back to those off-topic posts after Nov 1 but I really feel that stuff is covered by Colors of the Dark. The only exception is the "unauthorized download" links and the more sexually explicit stuff. Between those things and my art / music news there will always be content here at Black White Red. It just won't be every day / every other day.

Try looking through Colors of the Dark from the beginning. It's as much a part of me as my art and music. I really love doing it too.

Colors of the Dark is obviously a negative culture magazine while, I thought, Black White Red seemed to focus on your own prolific work. Maybe it didn't start out that way but it seems to have naturally gravitated to that. It makes perfect sense to separate your stuff out from the herd for special attention. I'd bet that if dug into your archives you've got enough material of your own creation to post everyday for the next year (not that you have the time or inclination to do that).
Like that other person, I often hit the site but don't comment.

Thanks for the comment Ed.

When I started this blog it was exclusively for posts relating to my own creative output. I realized from following other blogs that having posts every day was a plus so I started to fill in with non-"ME" content.

Anyhow, thanks for being a reader of both blogs.
